About Freddie & Wesley

Freddie is a dancer from Stockholm, now based in the Rotterdam. She has a wide interest in dance, music, and movement, with a main focus on House culture. In 2019 she won the Housecategory at Hip Hop Weekend together with “Mackie”.

Wesley is an internationally well-known figure within the House Dance community. Apart from participating actively in the battle / underground scene, he is deeply invested in learning and sharing within house music culture and dance.

About the workshop

Their workshop will focus on music and how to be more musically inclined within your dance. We will share tools on how to practice musicality, increase musical textures and how to express what we hear through our movements. We will dive into rhythms, groove, pacing and phrasing of the music. We will be working through the lens of house music and dance, but all levels and styles are welcome as it will be applicable to music and dance in general.

* Advanced. In this workshop you need a high level dance experience not particularly in the same style as the workshop. During these workshops a higher tempo will be maintained with a focus on each teacher's individual technique.

The workshops will be held in english.
